About

Product Designer by trajectory, product manager by practice.

Curiosity is what pulled me across disciplines, and it's never really let up. I use creativity to solve real problems and create real impact, in the product and in the business behind it.

Experience

Nine years in the tech industry, the last four expanding from Product Design into product strategy and management. I've led product and design end to end on B2B and B2C platforms in Brazil and the US, across oil and gas, food, fleet management, industrial cybersecurity, and trust based marketplaces connecting people. I joined Sphere of Six as founding Product Designer, the first hire on the product side, and led strategy through the app's official launch.

Right now I work as an independent contractor, Product Designer, for an international client paid in USD, alongside Sphere of Six and mentoring MBA student groups in Digital Product Leadership and Strategy through TERA. I haven't settled between going deeper into Product Design or continuing to grow in Product Management. Both paths make sense for where I've gotten to, and I'm keeping both open.

How I Design

01

I start with behavior, not the screen.

I map what people actually do today before I open any design tool. Discovery comes before delivery: research, interviews, and real usage data point me to where the friction actually sits, well before a wireframe exists.

02

Personas built on real behavior, not demographics.

A day in the life of what a good outcome looks like and what a bad one costs. That becomes the filter for every feature decision that follows, tested against actual user needs, not assumptions.

03

Prioritization runs on method, not gut feel.

I use frameworks like MoSCoW and value versus effort matrices to turn subjective calls into shared, data backed decisions the whole team can stand behind.

04

Every trade-off gets named out loud.

What shipped, what got cut, and why, grounded in the numbers available at the time. I build design systems meant to scale past a single release, and I've used AI tools since 2023 to compress discovery and prototyping into something far faster than a traditional process, without giving up the rigor a real launch needs.

How I Manage Product

01

Every decision starts as a hypothesis I expect research to challenge.

On Sphere of Six I assumed the booking flow was the critical path. Research showed the real first job was getting people to bring in the providers they already trusted. That single insight reordered the entire MVP.

02

I scope by what proves the value, not by what would be nice to have eventually.

On Sphere of Six, once user validation showed which flows actually carried the core value proposition, I cut roughly half of the planned MVP. Everything past the initial match got pushed to a later phase.

03

Trade offs happen in the open.

One app with two account types instead of two separate apps. A web first launch I argued for and the founders didn't take. Both decisions on the record, both with a reason attached.

04

Alignment moves at the speed of the prototype.

I skip the slow cycle of low fidelity, review, rework. Getting to something high fidelity and clickable fast means founders and tech leads react to something real instead of a sketch, which is part of why a process that usually runs ten weeks took four on Sphere of Six's first MVP.

Services

01

Product Design

I design digital products end to end, from research to design systems, always starting from the decision that solves the problem for both the user and the business.

02

Product Management

I guide product with clear prioritization and trade offs. Discovery, roadmap, MVP scope, alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.

03

AI applied to product

I've used AI to speed up discovery, prototyping, and decision making since 2023. I once took a process that normally takes 10 weeks down to 4, without giving up delivery quality.

Outside Work

About me

  • Mentor by habit. I mentor MBA student groups in product strategy through TERA, currently two groups, with plans to grow to 5 or 6 by the end of the quarter.

  • Learner who doesn't stop. I completed an MBA in Digital Product Leadership and Strategy with the highest rating from Brazil's Ministry of Education, and I test a new AI tool every week to see what actually helps.

  • Small team, hands on. I co-founded a studio with a developer partner and picked up Git, React, and Storybook on the job, because there was no one else to do it.

  • No borders in the journey. Exchange program in Finland, clients in Abu Dhabi and Colorado, genuinely remote for years.

  • Leader early on. I led and mentored a team of 10 designers at Viasat.

Throughout my career, working closely with people who know more than me in each subject, engineering, security, management, is what pushed me to grow the most as a professional.

What drives me today is building solutions that generate real results, testing every new tool that comes along to see what actually holds up that result.

Let's talk about what you're building.

If you're building something worth talking about, or just want to trade notes on product, I'd like to hear from you.
